Vishwa Kalyan Award 2019 will honor three categories – Politics, Economic and Social reform.
Politics – Corruption is the fundamental cause behind dysfunctional governance and lagging economy. The anti-democratic and anti-constitutional regimes in the so-called democratic systems are in persistent violation of civil and human rights with little or no tolerance to free speech on government’s adversarial policies and actions affecting vast majority.
Electoral process marred with fraud and illegal campaign financing facilitate undesirable and undeserving candidacies usurp to power in politics contributing to economy, social and environment neglect. The authorities responsible for defaults evade transparency and accountability.
Any peaceful political and civil dissent against government is met with violence and anti-democratic means to justify unjustifiable events.
Economy – The disproportionate income distribution in the corporate governed societies widening the gap between super wealthy and the poorest in the world. The recent data reflecting global and multinational companies (MNC) CEO’s and top tier management reaping 942% of company profits while the bottom tier in the work force sharing mere 12% explains the gross anomaly in wealth and profit management exacerbating impoverishments in developing and developed world.
The corporate run governments are pledged to corporate owners meteoric economic rise exploiting the work force and consumers at large.
Social Reform – Youth frustration escalating in developing nations in the absence of employment opportunity and economic productivity with opportunists in society deploying youth to destructive ideological and fundamental course at national and societal expense. The misuse of social media utilizing youth for propaganda and falsehood is some government’s and influential sources strategy not content with mainstream media role in this context.
Youth involvement in shaping future will be the focus.
The reform in these three areas of society is critical for realistic progress and pervasive economic development unlike the enrichment of selective few in the world.
Thank you.
