The award is to create awareness among world population to appreciate, safeguard and contribute to the welfare and survival of all species for planet sustenance.
I present the categories for Vishwa Kalyan Award with the hope to revive interest and action in promoting humanitarian and environment goals.
Environment and Humanitarian Cause.
Environment protection is made possible in not only reducing carbon emission but also through natural habitat enrichment i.e. greenery and rain forests preservation worldwide.
In the environment category –
The winners are:
Africa:
Ethiopia – The East African nation in the Horn of Africa is leading power generator in the region through clean energy program.
Latin America:
Peru – The National Photovoltaic Household Electrification Program Solar Energy expected to benefit more than 2 million people in Peru.
Costa Rica – 100% Renewal Energy with departure from fossil fuel. The Central American country generated electricity entirely from renewal energy – the combination of hydroelectric and geothermal power permitting clean and affordable energy supply in 2015. The national commitment towards 100% carbon neutrality by 2021 sets important precedence for the rest of the world to follow suit.
Brazil – Kayapo – Indigenous Tribe in Amazon protecting rainforests against miners, poachers, loggers and drillers in the region.
Protecting endangered species –
Irrawathi dolphins of Myanmar in Mekong river are critically endangered from fisheries by catch and habitat deterioration.
Save the Elephants – Elephants – the most fascinating and adorable member of animal kingdom is sadly now enlisted in endangered species.
Marine Mammals – The dismissal of global warming as a myth among skeptics slight polar bears plight in the arctic with melting glaciers posing challenge to marine mammals existence.
Humanitarian
Martyrdom against Terrorism and Oppression.
Pakistan – I have great pleasure in announcing their names and they are none other than – then 15-year-old Aitzaz Hasan Bangash – the shia Muslim in Pakistan thwarted terror attack against his fellow students in Hangu in the City of Peshawar, Pakistan.
Palestine – The other recipient of Humanitarian award – Vishwa Kalyan Award goes to American Peace Activist – then 23 -year-old Rachel Corrie martyred during Israeli authorities demolition when she tried to defend Palestinian homes in Rafah, Palestine in 2003.

Environment Protection and Exposing Corruption.
India – The seventeen-year-old Snowlin from Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India for braving fatal sniper attacks in environment crusade and exposing corruption behind series of violations.
Nursing and Paramedic in Medicine in War Zones.
Palestine – On June 1, 2018 Razan al-Najjar, a 21-year-old female Palestinian paramedic, was shot dead by Israeli sniper while attending to injured Palestinians along Gaza border. There were at least 100 Palestinians affected in Israeli strike during the Gaza border protest per worldwide reports.
United States – On November 16, 2014, American aid worker Peter Kassig was executed in Syria by the Islamic State (IS) militant group. The 26-year-old emergency medical technician (EMT) had worked in hospitals, clinics and refugee camps throughout the region for more than two years. He was known for treating population at risk in battle grounds on humanitarian basis.
Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) – Donald Bahati, a nurse whose clinic was attacked shares his anguish and experience in his statement – “Last month our clinic was raided and I was tortured. I was scared, anxious but also angry. We are trying to save lives and they are trying to kill us.”

The award is also presented to the living courageous nurse Donald Bahati of Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Education
Vishwa Kalyan Award 2018 for Education goes to Community Colleges.
