UN Headquarter Relocation

United Nations as the world understands to be an international body regardless of the location whether New York or Geneva should be able to receive member states’ representatives from heads of the state to foreign ministers and those nations’ designated ambassadors as well as delegations to represent their people at the UN meeting.
The host nation viz. United States’ arbitrary decision to isolate certain member states subjecting their diplomats and general staff to unusual scrutiny at the airports or decline them visa, necessary documents such as drivers license and banking services that are essential to perform their duties while attending the meeting are anything but hospitable.
United States State Department denying travel visa to Iran’s foreign minister Javad Zarif to participate in the UN Security Council meeting on January 9th, to discuss International Peace and Security is undiplomatic and unconventional. United States as host nation of United Nations to which all members contribute to whatever extent monetarily cannot exclude any UN member delegate by choice conforming to prejudice. These incidents further tarnish U.S. image that is already jeopardized due to U.S. foreign policy towards majority of nations constantly targeted and subjugated for economic interests and strategic dominance under the guise of democratization.
United States is one of many members in the United Nations and not the only member to pose such restrictions on other member states viz. Iran or counterpart in similar situation experiencing US selective discriminatory practice.
United States refusing visa to Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to attend UN meeting is indicative of diminished UN autonomy though that has long been restrained now confirmed entirely at United States discretion.
Under these circumstances, United Nations headquarter relocation to a venue welcoming all members and their representatives unlike the hostility endured by certain member states would be a viable option.
As mentioned last year, United Nations inability to address and resolve international crises in the current environment with United States and allies constant influence in decision making process delivering partisan results or stagnancy witnessed in Mideast peace on Palestinian statehood and ending Syrian conflict, evacuation of foreign troops from Afghanistan and other foreign shores stymied for nearly a century now.
This topic will be elaborated in the New Year Speech visual content to be presented shortly.
Meanwhile, United States administration including U.S. State Department demonstrating their care and concern they claim for Iranian citizens translated in action abandoning obstructionist policy and adopting fairness and bipartisanship towards all nations regardless of them being their ally or adversary maintaining professionalism in services like granting visa to foreign dignitaries in timely manner besides facilitating needful diplomatic resources would add credibility to anything stated for public consumption.
The host nation United States expediting service to all UN members attending UN conventions would also highlight relevance and importance towards the people of those nations whom the foreign diplomats and emissary represent in their own sovereign rights.
Thank you.
