Service and Respect

Here is the quote from a public speech that merit legitimate discussion and clarification.
The argument –
Free service having no respect v. Fee Service having respect is the supposition.
Let’s begin with fee service having respect.
There are many professions and occupations in global economy and society with monetary gains that are pursued and maintained importantly for livelihood and additionally to boost other aspirations in life.
Not all professions and occupations that charge fees and monetized are necessarily well respected by their clients and general customer base especially in the absence of customer satisfaction and disappointing results in any field and trade.
Then there are those services like sex workers providing their clients service based on pre-arranged terms and price. Regardless of the service, these members in society are ostracized despite them engaged in a trade with a price tag like most and majority services and activities in the economic sector.
At the same time, the film and fashion industry as an example involves glamorized voyeurism and objectification far worse in behavioral patterns ranging from sexual compromise, sexual abuse, exploitation to extortion normalized and popularized for monetary profits and stardom.
Again there are those who may exchange their counter argument on the film and fashion industry not being an exception citing other fields and discipline not in compliance with disciplinary and moral code so to elaborate.
Although that aspect is not hypothetical or anecdotal rather an unfortunate existence again below the level of glamor and glitz world.
However, the distinction between the glamor world and the rest is the objectifying voyeuristic culture in the glamor world is admired and crowned as celebrity for commercial objectives compared to the latter attracting shame, stigma and indignation.
The other prominent field that makes those abundantly rich overnight with mostly backend deals and kickbacks viz. politics is taxpayers’ funded fortune haven. Politics is by far the least respected in the world due to corruption and criminality not subject to accountability and rule of law premised on partisanship, privilege and political impunity.
Now in terms of free service having no respect arguably depends on the service provider, the substance or the lack thereof and critically purpose behind free service.
By and large completely free service in the overwhelmingly monetized material world is not common.
Those who provide such service are more driven towards humanitarian cause and social progress. This characteristic only apply to ordinary folks with little or no financial means yet remain committed to improving genuine humanitarian needs.
Nevertheless these thoughts leading to actions in free service is not possible for all considering individual economic status and practicality.
Please note the so-called free humanitarian service touted among the wealthiest philanthropists speak for themselves in ulterior motives and agenda unraveling more than ever in the present time.
Juxtaposed there are many unsung heroes and souls in many parts of the world in remote corners and regions doing their utmost to alleviate human suffering within own community and internal society.
In this instance the monetary expectations are not possible. The reality is they are enormously respected and regarded by the beneficiaries in the respective domain.
Free service having no respect means the following great souls would not be relevant till today.
Lord Krishna charged none for his teachings and contribution with the Holy scripture Srimad Bhagwat Gita.
The Jain Saint Thirthankar established the religion Jainism with no monetary incentives and provisions.
Lord Gautam Buddha never asked anyone to pay for his sermons and sharing knowledge on life, reason and liberation of Soul.
Lord Jesus preached anyone for free – those who listened and the ones rejecting the message to humanity.
Similarly the Prophet Mohammad (MPBUH) spread islam to those willing to understand the paradoxical traits of good and bad actions with consequences.
Sikh religion – The Sikh Saint Guru Nanak and his successors explained the Sikh holy scripture Guru Granth Sahib to their followers for free.
The philosopher Confucius offered extraordinary guidance in principles and mind matter to humanity for no charge.
In Japan, Shintoism was passed along in ancestral reverence and respect for sacred power in nature at no cost to any in society.
These are several paradigms on free service with pure humanitarian and spiritual goals not only commanding respect for providers, in fact elevated them to worthy of worship by the ones who defeated self-ignorance and applied themselves in the quest for true knowledge.
Finally, in the material world monetization of service guarantee respect is a myth and gross misconception. As explained above even in the monetized service the quality, quantity and quotient in terms of value for money are factored in assessment for respect.
Contrarily, free service related to greater good, universal peace and happiness being altruistic with no strings attached i.e. without any expectation of any kind in itself exemplify highest esteem.
Above all, the karmic effects of good deeds are always accompanied by blessings and best wishes from recipients benefitting from smallest to major help and support at no cost to the ones receiving assistance.
Again upon such aid offered with no hidden personal advantage or interest.
