Pakistan – Politics, Friendship and Family

Should Politics differentiate between Family Relations and Sports Friendship?
Pakistan’s PTI Chairman and Prime Minister Imran Khan could perhaps clarify the unusual decision to deny his sons visit and presence at the official oath ceremony more than a month ago.
When some Pakistan citizens and PTI voters checked via twitter on the possibility of their leader’s immediate family viz. his sons sharing the pleasure on the important day for them and their father.
The PM’s former wife Jemima Goldsmith as the mother responded in her tweet that the sons wanted to attend the event, however their father asked them not to come.

Though this could be a personal family matter, the political figures in public domain are subject to observation if not scrutiny. Since such gestures arouse different perspectives especially when compared to the reception extended to friends in sports from neighboring India or regular friends circle seemingly recruited in key government positions.
Any security concerns upon sons arrival in Pakistan would again be counteracted given the exuberance from Indian State Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu claiming the heartwarming overtures not only from the people in Pakistan, the army cadre in particular with Pakistan’s Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa and the newly appointed government of Prime Minister Imran Khan widely discussed in media.
Was there any doubt regarding Pakistan citizens sentiments towards their Prime Minister Imran Khan’s blood relations i.e. sons participation in their father’s big moment in life.
Could political ambitions estrange family ties?
Personally, I say politics should be isolated from family especially when children regardless of age are involved in maintaining normal relations with their parents.
Again only individuals in this reference could shed light one way or another.

Imran asked sons not to attend his oath taking ceremony: Jemima
With Imran Khan ready to take oath as the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan on Saturday, PTI fans are irked at his sons vacationing in Scotland instead of attending the oath taking ceremony.
The former cricketer’s ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith took to Twitter to reveal the real reason why the incoming premier’s sons will not be attending their father’s oath taking after his 22 years of political struggle and the reason appears to be quite uncluttered.
@Jemima_Khan this would be the biggest and happiest day in Imran Khan’s life and political struggle… And it would be so hurting for him if his sons won’t be with him… We Pakistanis request you for this happiness of our leader plz #PrimeMinister
In response to a tweet by a PTI fanatic requesting her to send her boys over to watch their father take charge of the country, Jemima revealed: “They wanted to be there. Their father asked them not to come.”
Sameeee here how could they not come :’/ at a time when they are vacationing in Scotland but can’t come here for their father’s biggest day
