Human hatred, prejudice and targeted killings has been around since world creation and continued more so in the modern age.
The statistics below display human cruelty and atrocities towards fellow mankind abusing power and authority through oppression, persecution and violations of human lives and rights world over.
The public data known and documented long before the internet era confirm the result of human mind consumed with hate and discrimination led abhorrent crimes against humanity eventually delivering the source succumb to hate driven carnage.
Although the mass killings has occurred since time immemorial defining the primitive nature of those who were involved in such heinous crimes, the twentieth and twenty first century is a reminder of events exacerbating victims suffering subject to gruesome deaths and brutality from the colonizers and occupiers of foreign land.
The Belgian Congo Genocide.
In the period from 1885 to 1908, many well-documented atrocities were perpetrated in the Congo Free State (today the Democratic Republic of the Congo) which, at the time, was a colony under the personal rule of King Leopold II of the Belgians.
Leopold II established Belgium as a colonial power in Africa, he is best known for the widespread atrocities that were carried out under his rule, as a result of which as many as 10 million people died in the Congo Free State.
British (Origin – Saxa Gotha Coburg, Germany) Colonial Rule in India.
The British Raj established through the Dutch East India Company leading to colonization and occupation of Indian sub- continent continued via proxy representations in the region and elsewhere until today committed murder and killings in millions throughout the dark history.
The notorious crimes among them are;
The Bengal famine in 1943 colonial rule in India claimed more than 3 million lives due to forced starvation via induced crop reduction to depopulate the Bengal state. The foreign rulers government policy was designed to cause hunger and starvation among the local rural and urban population in Bengal, India.
Punjab, India – Jallianwala Bagh also known as the Amritsar Massacre during Colonial power occupation in 1919.
The British Brigadier General R.E.H. Dyer shooting rampage targeted peaceful non-violent gatherings of local Sikh population inside the large fortress trapping them with no means to run for their life in the most cowardly attack against civilians in the assembly.
South India, Tamil Nadu – Then reining Queen of SivaGanga, Tamil Nadu’s Velu Nachchiar battle against the colonial rulers and abominable taxations imposed by the occupiers against the occupied posed a serious challenge for the natives at that time. Among them, the incident surrounding Queen Velu Nachchiar’s contingency opposed to colonial exploitation in land seizure and taxes were lined up by the colonial forces and chopped of their right arm and left leg to cripple them for life rather than leaving them dead.
The valiant Queen Velu Nachchiar then rose against the invaders – the colonial British Raj and recaptured her kingdom. The 18th century Queen Velu Nachchiar from Tamil Nadu, India was the first and the only one to successfully defend her kingdom, people and the bastion from ruthless foreign aggression.
Another Tamil native V.O.Chidambaram aka V.O.C had to contend with colonial dominance in the pre-independence India. The extremely wealthy Tamil entrepreneur defended territorial and economic rights that were denied by the colonialist at that time denying him to conduct and operate his innovative newly founded successful shipping company in Tamil Nadu. The colonialists imposed every possible hindrance and obstacles to prevent VOC from continuing his shipping company that was providing affordable and useful service as a passenger liner and freight vessel to people in Tamil Nadu, then Ceylon that is now known as Sri Lanka in South Asia to South East Asia.
The colonialists forced VOC’s shipping company to shut down and arrested him for his opposition to unfair business practice including colonial taxes and occupation of his homeland.
VOC was tortured and persecuted in the most cruel and abhorrent manner that hardly fits the description of human character. The perpetrators i.e. the colonialists barbaric and primitive treatment of a human being in their captivity was reprehensible.
The brave and honorable V.O.Chidambaram endured heinous crimes in the hands of the colonial occupiers of his homeland and sacrificed his wealth, well being and entire life setting the corner stone for freedom movement in India against foreign dominance and illegal invasion.
The post independent india has not been better in any metric in authorizing violence against own citizens in the country. The Congress party members instigated communal violence against Sikhs in Punjab and northern India in the wake of assassination of the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi led to targeted Sikh killings involving even celebrity from Bollywood at the height of stardom in 1984 as megastar fueling the fire and calling for random attacks and killing of Sikhs in the country. These actions from politics and the film industry associated actor is reproachable.
Subsequent to Sikh killings in 1984 by then ruling party Congress, the 2002 Godhra violence in Gujarat by the State authority under then BJP Chief Minister and home minister presently assumed office synonymously as Prime Minister and Home minister has been adequately published in the parent domain of this site titled Godhra violence recently and in the past publications. Nonetheless, the murder of majority muslims not excluding children, women and senior citizens as well as considerable Hindu population fell victims to communal slaughter.
Kashmir and North Eastern states in India are under constant oppression and prolonged unrest with violence from central authority policy consuming lives and making life impossible in the region.
In other parts of the world, the human genocide index is extensive and as follows;
Tamil Eelam – the ethnic cleansing of Eelam Tamils on international watch and direct participation of Indian central and Tamil Nadu state political factions all combined led to the condemnable crimes against Eelam Tamil community. The young Eelam Tamil children as young as eleven-year-old boys were blind folded with their arms and feet tied and were shot from behind in summary executions authorized by Sri Lankan government authority Mahinda Rajapakse in 2009.
Having been abandoned by UN peace keeping forces despite pleas from children, women, elderly and young men to provide protection from Sri Lankan hostility, then UN Chief Ban Ki Moon visiting the crime scene left those helpless fearful Eelam natives to face the bullets in the trapped territory. The atrocious response came from Indian central government of Sonia Gandhi and Tamil Nadu state political parties – the Dravida Kazhagam both DMK and ADMK as well as their coalition in support of Sri Lankan authoritarian regime. There was not an iota of sympathy towards Eelam population yearning for mercy to spare their life from Sri Lankan firing squad lined up right behind the ten and eleven year old children blown away in the firing from heavy ammunition.
Palestinians in Gaza, West Bank, and East Jerusalem. Tibetans in occupied Tibet. Hong Kong pro-democracy voices muzzled and made to disappear. The political dissidents in mainland China are in indefinite imprisonment in black prison. The Uighur muslims are confined to concentration camps with atrocities against them normalized per Beijing’s policy.
In other parts of South East Asia – Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Burma (Myanmar), Thailand, East Timor near Indonesia, Indonesia mainland, Korean war and thx entire region in Asia, Indo-Pacific region nations have accounts to share on violent history and gross human rights violation not yet ceased till date.
The plight of aborigines in Australia, natives in North America, the Amazon rainforest tribal groups protecting the critical natural environment, the Adivasis meaning original inhabitants in India and similar population across the globe remain the victims of brute force and fierce aggression in all frontiers of their territory.
Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Island nations’ population have been through extraordinary pain, suffering and immense loss of lives until now.
Notwithstanding, the arbitrary economic sanctions against nations under thx pretext of human rights violations ignoring own record and ground facts at home of the privileged members behind economic sanctions have claimed significant lives world over in the overt economic warfare against citizens of those nations in the present time.
The victims and survivors worldwide in all these war zones, troubled areas and authoritarian extra judicial executions experiencing excruciating misery lasting generations till today merit remembering and registering in human history as holocaust in the crimes against humanity without exception.
Above all, the bio-warfare unleashed on humanity in COVID19 tops the chart in depopulation agenda with none held accountable so far. The COVID19 status quo is the biggest travesty of justice against mankind in the latest global pandemic.
