While the civilian genocide continues in Gaza and the remaining Palestine,
The latest report on the murder of four Indian students – who were enrolled in various computer science and MBA degree course in different universities in Ohio, Indiana and other parts of the United States, with no links to any gang or criminal activity were found dead.
According to the United States and Indian news reports – three Indian students between the age 18- 21 and the other MBA student age 25 were murdered since the beginning of the new year 2024.
In the previous month January 2024 – all four murders have taken place with three of them reportedly in a week.
Where is the Indian government leadership that goes up the ante ransacking news organization offices, expelling members from India and reprimanding the relevant embassy diplomat seeking explanations on any factual publication of any matter associated with Indian political leadership’s violent trajectory and instigation of communal violence within society at home and overseas?
Only the political leadership’s image and never ending ambition to remain seated in power matter regardless of ruinous track record?
Where is the taxpayer appointed Indian external affairs minister promptly coming to the rescue on anything and everything linked to the indefensible Indian Prime Minister?
On the critical issue regarding the homicide of own Indian citizens that too young students in the United States, the Indian government and polity conspicuously missing in action when the responsibility directly lie with MEA?
The ordinary lives are easily dispensable even though they are the back bone of the nation in every aspect facilitating politics, economy and all functionality in collective consolidated contribution.
Something for politics to think about in the spare moment upon available from otherwise preoccupied personal interests.
In this instance with four Indian students seeking higher education in the United States are murdered with New Delhi, India observing muted response.
The same reaction was seen with yet another Indian student – a female age 24-25 years old enrolled in post doctoral program in the university in Seattle, Washington State with the law enforcement officer mockingly devaluing her life in negligible amount and dismissal of the manslaughter of this female victim by a police officer as no big deal on camera.
Politics’ lack of concern for citizens lives upon whom they depend for own survival in life and public office are trending right now.
The status quo is unequivocally unsustainable.
