In acknowledgment of indigenous native Americans and the tradition inherited from them in the modern United States continued till today, the special occasion to express gratitude to Mother Nature for bumper harvest, environment and life comprising five elements sky, air, water, earth and fire are truly the gifts from nature.
The native American custom to celebrate the harvest season sharing the crops and green produces among tribes within and around with profound recognition of nature being the source for life survival and sustenance on earth. The holiday season begins to cherish memories with family and friends around this time.
Thanksgiving is an opportunity to be thankful for life and events that are important. The event is a reminder to continue living life to the fullest and best of ability to make it worthwhile, pleasant, productive and peaceful benefitting self and others as much as possible.
The annual holiday is also the moment to thank all those individuals and anyone or anything contributing to the well being and happiness. The human nature is defined in true appreciation of service of any kind that are valuable and pertinent in daily existence and otherwise.
Thanking the service providers across the spectrum and remembering the members in society risking own lives to save others and the nation at large enrich human relations and communal harmony.
Above all, reaching out to the forgotten and least privileged in society exemplify human value promoting much needed progress amongst those struggling to make ends meet and deprived of better life.
