India – Goons, Guns and Gutter Politics
When people fear government whose members and head of the state find their way to helm by deploying goons, guns and engage in gutter politics,
That governance and authority is unworthy of respect and importantly legitimacy.
Narendra Modi and Amit Shah epitomize such governance since Gujarat days i.e. 2001 up until now enforcing violence as the rule of law committing heinous crimes from rape, murder, embezzlement to auctioning Gujarat State and later different parts of India to Adhani, Ambanis and other domestic industrialists besides foreign corporations depriving farmers, natives like Adivasi and local population of their land and basic survival.
Notwithstanding the destructive course impact on environment causing serious health hazards to residents in the coastal, rural and urban areas nationwide.
In terms of democratic system with checks and balances, Narendra Modi administration has systematically dismantled every institution not barring the Supreme Court at present conducting probe on sexual allegations against Chief Justice of India about to preside over highly sensitive cases involving government head Narendra Modi and cabinet members as well as matter concerning corporate honchos in international defense deal and similar issues.
As for election commission of India, the constitution established electoral body is now hook, line and sinker with Narendra Modi and Amit Shah tactics in declining to recognize the duos’ flagrant violations of election rules and in particular politicizing defense force, religion, caste and communal references dominating Narendra Modi’s desperate speeches lacking in substance while reeking in communal overtones to prevail in the tough election.
Narendra Modi and Amit Shah’s divisive politics aimed at polarizing society for personal interests and spreading Hindutva ideology bearing no relation or resemblance to Hinduism and Hindu religion is a cult authorizing mob lynching of minorities like Muslims and Dalits to suit the dastardly agenda.
The abhorrent practice unleashed with license by Narendra Modi handpicked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, the most populous northern state comprising majority muslims and Dalits, thus far consumed many innocent lives with significant population living in absolute trepidation of worse to happen following the return of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath to power.
As such RSS controlled BJP has fielded radical candidacies in saffron robes to lure likeminded base especially in Hindi heartland and northern region now known as the Cow Belt in the wake of Gai Rakshak (cow protection) plan.
The cow protection policy gone wild creating a menace not only for targeted demography i.e. Muslims and Dalits more so for the Hindu farming community unable to cope with stray cattle grazing their harvest with no end in sight.
Amid chaos and breakdown of law and order under PM Narendra Modi rule, the mainstream, conventional and many among social media in disguise as alternative voice pervasively promoting Narendra Modi’s fraudulent campaign premised on identity politics absent promises considering default from last election is carefully dodged keeping voters bitter memory in mind.
However, the incumbent candidate Narendra Modi tenor laden with self-adulation and self-pity in the other extreme to garner votes from the disillusioned electorate hardly escape observants’ attention.
So much so, even those as the so-called stand up comic are active participants in propaganda campaign for Narendra Modi in self-inflicting tragedy presented as comedy.
The political oppositions are no better with their fair share of excess baggage and legacy burdened in corruption, cronyism and entitlement to power via dynasty politics. The caste orientation in the rise to power cannot be discounted either.
India’s hope is republic governance resisting challenges from status quo unwilling to cede power to the vast majority subject to generational poverty, debts and life long struggles due to feudalists and fundamentalists dominance in politics.
With expiry certain on all things tangible and otherwise, the contemporary dilemma face expiration without exception.
